We use a variety of tools to ensure that you get an accurate pest inspection report each and every time:

  • Probe/Tapping Device

    By tapping on frames, architraves, door jams, cabinetry, and other wooden components, an experienced inspector can detect the presence of weakened timber that may not be visible to the eye due to being painted over.

  • Moisture Meter

    Termites, borers, and funghi thrive in high moisture areas. This device helps to detect surfaces and materials that have unexpectedly high moisture content. High moisture areas must be investigated for the presence of pests and the moisture cause must be addressed.

  • Thermal Camera

    A thermal camera allows the inspector to see the surface temperature of materials in the house. Hot (white) spots can indicate the presence of termites, whereas cold (black) spots can reveal a water leak.


    Our inspections meet or exceed the Australian Standard (AS 4349.3-2010 and AS 3660.2-2000) Inspection guidelines. For example, a thermal camera is not required by the standards, but we think it should be since it improves the quality and ultimate value of an inspection significantly.
